My School

The American College of Sofia
Last update - May 19, 1999

The American College of Sofia was situated in 1860 (click here to visit the American College offiacial web site). I don't know why but it had stopped working until the year of 1992 when it was repaired and reopened. My elder brother graduated from the college in 1997. I'll graduate in 2003. It's a private school but it is not like the other private schools in Sofia. Usually you pay high tax for private schools - $2000-$2500. In the college you pay $800 for a scgool year. They approve 100 students each year with $800. That's fifty boys and fifty girls. The next ten boys and girls in the list can enter the college paying $4000 if they don't mind the high tax. Foreign students are admitted with $8000.

This is The Fountain. It has been the school's symbol since 1860 when the college was first opened.
